Former Washington men’s basketball center Franck Kepnang has signed with Kentucky, the school confirmed Saturday on social media. Kepnang, who entered the transfer portal on April 14, will join former Huskies teammate Zoom Diallo, who committed to the Wildcats on April 15. The 6-foot-11 Kepnang was Washington’s longest-tenured player. After a two-year stint at Oregon, he spent the past four seasons at Washington, including three that were cut short by injuries. Kepnang expects to receive an NCAA medical hardship waiver to play a seventh season. Kepnang had his most productive year at Washington last season while averaging 6.2 points and 6.3 rebounds in 27 games, including 25 starts. He missed the final six games because of a knee injury. Last season, Kentucky finished 22-14 overall and 10-8 in the SEC under second-year coach Mark Pope. They were a No. 7 seed in the NCAA tournament, where they lost to No. 2 Iowa 82-63 in the second round.…
