EKKL Entertainment have acquired global distribution rights to biblical epic “Daniel: The Fiery Furnace,” starring Mena Massoud  (“Aladdin”) and Elijah Alexander (“The Chosen”), which will release in U.S. cinemas in September. “Daniel: The Fiery Furnace,” which is directed by Canada’s Matthew and Daniel Kooman (“She Has a Name”), is the origin story from the Old Testament of the prophet Daniel against the backdrop of his exile in Babylon. The faith-based film is produced by the Kooman Brothers with Travis Mann (EP on “I Can Only Imagine”) and Massoud.
