Nike Indulges Y2K Nostalgia With a Jelly Shoe That Can Be Worn Two Ways

Jelly shoes have had their moment in each of the past two summers during a Y2K revial. If Nike has anything to do with it, the trend will continue for yet another season. The Nike Rejevun8 Run Jelly reimagines the 2008 recovery shoe with a playful translucent exoskeleton made of PVC coming soon in three colorways: red, neon green and cream/white. Inside the webbed shell is a newly removable mesh bootie, allowing it to be worn with your feet visible or covered. A consistent color scheme is maintained with the red and green editions, while the third pairs a colorless cage with a white bootie and cream sole unit. Nike first introduced the Rejuven8 Run for the 2008 Olympics and brought it back this year with a focus on women. It comes out of Nike’s Innovative Kitchen and shares heritage with other molded shoes including the Zvezdochka, Air Kukini, Air Huarache and Sock Racer.…
