The news is incredibly exciting for all kinds of reasons, not least because of Barbara’s history with endometriosis, which can impact fertility. According to the World Health Organization , endometriosis affects an estimated 10% (190 million) of reproductive-age women worldwide. Despite this, there is undoubtedly a lack of awareness about the condition, which currently has no known cure. Less than a year ago, in August 2025, Barbara revealed in a personal Instagram post that she had undergone life-changing surgery for endometriosis. Opening up about her diagnosis, Barbara wrote that she had been dealing with “fatigue, severe pain, heavy and irregular flow,” and “sleepless nights on the bathroom floor” for a long time. “I’ve been going to checkups to my gynecologist every year, I thought if I had endometriosis I would have known about it by now,” she wrote.…
