According to the World Health Organization , endometriosis affects an estimated 10% (190 million) of reproductive-age women worldwide. Despite this, there is undoubtedly a lack of awareness about the condition, which currently has no known cure. Less than a year ago, in August 2025, Barbara revealed in a personal Instagram post that she had undergone life-changing surgery for endometriosis.
