Here’s what we know about the Foss High School stabbing in Tacoma

Six people were injured in a stabbing Thursday afternoon at Foss High School in Tacoma. Five of those people were high school students, including the suspect, and the other was an adult security guard, police said.  There is limited information about the circumstances of the stabbing at the high school, which has about 550 students and 33 teachers, but here is what we know right now: What happened? Someone called 911 shortly after 1:30 p.m. to report “possible stabbings,” Tacoma Fire Department spokesperson Chelsea Shepherd told The Seattle Times. There was an “altercation” at the school, police said. Foss High School went into lockdown at 1:38 p.m., Tacoma Public Schools spokesperson Tanisha Jumper said in a news release. Around 2:30 p.m., Tacoma police spokesperson Officer Shelbie Boyd told The Times the “scene is safe.” How badly were people injured? Four of the students were seriously injured, Boyd said.  The fifth student, who is suspected of the stabbing, had minor injuries, Boyd said.…
