Not long ago, I read the phrase, “Let that sink in” for the first time in a while. It’s a phrase we’ve heard on occasion for decades. But suddenly I read it. Then I read it somewhere else. Then your mom said it. Then I was like, “What the hell is going on here?” At first, I didn’t mind because it was usually said at the end of a meme critical of Donald J Trump. And I like a good anti-Trump meme. “Trump was arrested for 3037 counts of friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. Let THAT sink in.” It was fun for a minute. But then EVERY post ended with Let That Sink In. Like it was the new “Just sayin’” or even the new LOL. You know, the thing you write after you’ve posted something majorly effed up, like, “Who invited Libtards to this PTA meeting. LOL!” Or “MAGAts should NOT wear cowboy hats. Just sayin’.” Let THAT sink in. See? Amirite? Amirite? Namsayin?…
