Vernon Kay thanked fans for their support in his first BBC Radio 2 show since he and Tess Daly announced they will “separate amicably” after 22 years of marriage.
The couple married in 2003 and share two daughters. In a joint statement, they said there are no other parties involved in the decision and they remain great friends “fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents.”
Introducing Monday’s (11 May) show, Kay began by thanking listeners for their support on behalf of himself and Daly.
“Thank you for all your well wishes. It's been greatly, greatly appreciated,” he added.
