What's up guys. I've been riding for 10 years parks, powder, groomers, you name it. Never broken a bone in my life. Not even a sprained wrist. I was basically convinced I was invincible. Turns out I am very much not invincible. On March 25th I was riding in Risoul (French Alps) on a red run, conditions were mint blue skies, groomed piste and I just... ATE IT. A fall. On a groomed run. Not even doing anything cool. No cliff drop, no backcountry send, no "you should've seen it" story. Just a regular fall on a regular piste. The mountain decided that after a decade of loyalty, it was time to absolutely OBLITERATE my right ankle. The damage: A displaced talus fracture-dislocation. For those who don't know, the talus is that little bone in your ankle that basically connects your foot to your leg. Mine decided to break into THREE fragments and dislocate. See the photos it's as bad as it looks. The surgery: Got rushed to hospital in Briançon, France and operated on the same day.…
