The pride of Temple University is calling it a career. P.J. Walker, 31, announced his retirement from football, as he was playing in the Canadian Football League for the Calgary Stampeders. The team had announced he was taking a leave, but eventually confirmed he was stepping away from the game completely. PJ Walker last played in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns. Getty Images After going undrafted and landing on the Colts’ practice squad from 2017-19, Walker got a chance to show off his skills in the XFL, where he played for the Houston Roughnecks and turned into the league’s biggest star. Walker, who was raised in New Jersey, led the XFL in passing touchdowns before the league shut down due to the COVID pandemic. Thanks to his strong performances in the XFL, Walker was given a chance to showcase himself with the Panthers and he finally made an active roster under head coach Matt Rhule in 2020.…
