Apple released iOS 26.4.2 and iPadOS 26.4.2 system updates for iPhone and iPad that bring "bug fixes and security updates," according to the company's standard boilerplate for releases like this.  According to Apple's document detailing the security content of the updates, the Wednesday release notes indicate a change to Notification Services: "A logging issue was addressed with improved data redaction," the notes read. To bring your iPhone or iPad up to date, go to  Settings  and tap  General . Next, select  Software Update  and then  Update Now  and follow the prompts. It's easy to ignore small updates like this, but sometimes there's a problem that needs to be tackled immediately.
