Justin Long and Irish Apatow are in negotiations to star in survival thriller “Stung,” now gearing up for production. The film comes from director Colin Minihan, who recently directed Long and Kate Bosworth in “Coyotes,” and is produced by Andre Relis and Jib Polhemus, with VMI Worldwide set to introduce the film to worldwide buyers in Cannes. Set against the backdrop of suburban isolation and mounting paranoia, “Stung” follows four teenage girls whose innocent sleepover spirals into a nightmare when they become trapped inside a luxury Orange County home overtaken by a massive swarm of Africanized killer bees. “’Stung’ taps into a very primal fear,” said Minihan. “You’re trapped, isolated, and under attack from something unstoppable.
