Please give me a good argument for functional medicine, or against, or both.

Assume I’m a blank slate with no strong opinions. Maybe I think pharma/insurance reps should be carted off to a gulag for hard labor. Maybe I think quacks with online stores shilling data-free testimonials should walk the plank. Maybe all of the above is true.
