Listed at well below market value as we moved out of state pretty much immediately after listing and wanted to sell quickly. Had lots of interest. The first fell through because they were turned off by the HOA. Then these buyers came through with a terrible offer. We spent several weeks negotiating with them as we wanted to sell quickly. They came up on price eventually but insisted that certain repairs needed to be done as a leak had sprung after we moved out and had caused water damage. Ok, so we get that fixed. Several grand later. Now, they are deciding to switch lenders and asking for a 21 day extension to the contract, but refusing to put up any additional earnest money. It's been three months since we started negotiating with them so I backed out. We are in a really bad situation financially now. In debt from the repairs and paying a mortgage for a house we don't live in and staying in a family member's basement. Looking for any advice.. I need to sell ASAP.…
