A ruling by a federal appeals court in Boston is a defeat for a Massachusetts company that makes mulch coloring, but a victory for scholars who like to see how many puns a normally staid three-judge panel can put in one decision. Glennon of Salisbury, which makes " colorfast colorants " for other companies that make mulch - and a " mulch color jet " for applying those dyes - sued former salesman Shonn Monday, his wife Debra, a New York landscaping company called H.U.R.B. and its officer Ulderic Boisevert after Monday allegedly stole company secrets and client lists after getting fired and set up a competing mulch-coloring concern.
