Applied for same job directly then through a recruiter without realising So I’ve been working on applying on jobs through seek and found a few ads, one with a direct company and one through a recruitment agency. I received a call from the recruitment agency who set up an interview this morning. Interview went well and then she mentioned the company name which sounded familiar at first but I kind of brushed it off. I just received a call back from the recruiter saying she tried to refer my résumé to the company who told her they seem to already have my application on file which when I quickly checked my account and realised it was in fact the company that I applied for directly. The recruitment lady said that she now can’t refer me which is understandable and that the company will contact me direct but what are my chances that I have shot myself in the foot with the direct company?…
