WASHINGTON — The disbelief buckled Jonquel Jones’ knees.
Surely there had been a mix-up. Surely the foul call wasn’t on her.
In the preceding sequence, Jones received a pass from Marine Johannès. The Liberty center rejected a handoff and lifted the ball above her head while considering her next move.
Simultaneously, Mystics second-year guard Sonia Citron, chasing Johannès through the action, ran into Jones and fell to the ground.
