Vent Post: Brutal Job Situation Right out of college I went to work for a pretty major manufacturing company ("Company A") as an engineer. I stayed there for 3.5 years. I really enjoyed it, but I felt that I was beginning to outgrow the role. Everyone around me was aware that I had grown a lot and repeatedly made my boss aware without me asking. I had intended to grow my career with Company A, so I asked my boss for multiple lateral moves to see different aspects of the business, but he claimed I was too inexperienced for those roles (keep in mind those roles are given to college grads). I began interviewing with other companies in hopes of becoming more well-rounded. That's when Company B enters (still in manufacturing). They had offered me a role that gave me more responsibilities plus offered bonuses … so I thought. When I got the offer, they expressed that they needed someone urgently. So I started 3 weeks after quitting at "Company A". The on-boarding was a mess, which I tried not to hold against them.…
