Here’s a commercial metal and flat roof replacement project we did for the city of North Miami. There were three separate flat roof sections, two of them had a concrete deck, and one had a wooden deck. We used a three-ply hot mop system for all the flat sections. The sloped roof used to be a tile roof that we converted into a standing seam metal roof. We used a fire rated underlayment system and a 1.5” mechanically fastened standing seam system for the metal roof. We replaced all the flashings all around the building and applied new stucco and paint after. This roof should last a damn long time, and is technically built way stronger than the strongest of storms that South Florida has ever seen.
