Britney Spears has been charged with a DUI in connection with her arrest in March. The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office’s public records, which were reviewed by Complex, show that she was charged with one misdemeanor count of driving under the combined influence of alcohol and at least one drug on Thursday (April 30) for her arrest by the California Highway Patrol on March 6. The criminal complaints did not specify what drug or alcohol Spears was allegedly under the influence of at the time of her arrest. As reported by the Associated Press , Spears entered a substance abuse treatment program following her March arrest. She was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol after she was spotted allegedly driving her BMW erratically near her home. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after she was subjected to a series of field sobriety tests. She was released on bail the following day.
