I first read this #SARK poster in 1997, when I was in my mid-20s. I believe it changed my life. @sarkifylife’s art and words led me to her books, which led me to a whole new way to think about the world, engage with the world, and play with the world. I started filling journals up with Sharpie-splattered ideas and doodles, shapes and thoughts, dreams and memories. The color and the free-wheeling journaling technique helped me see my soul differently, and sent me on a much different path than I expected. So today I’m chilling out in @katelemay’s YMCA Overnight Camps office. Session Two officially begins in 27 minutes. Both of my boys will be in this session, as will many of their friends. And I get the gift of visiting this poster again, here in Kate’s office, reading it my my older-and-wiser heart, and just being wicked grateful for the whole darn journey.
