Design platform Alcova has announced two showcases for Mexico City art week 2027, citing the metropolis's status as an "epicentre of new energy in design". Alcova , the self-described "inherently nomadic" showcase, will travel to two exhibition spaces in the Mexican capital during its busy February art week next year. The first, in the city's trendy Juárez neighbourhood will feature a collaboration with restoration-oriented developer Proyectos Publicos , where Alcova will inhabit a restored 1930s building (pictured). Further out from the centre of the city, Alcova will also install work at the 1950s Casa Reforma. Designed by architect Francisco Artigas, the house was restored by architect Lorena Vieyra for Mexican furniture outfit Piacere , and was for an exhibition of furniture from Vieyra's Omet label featuring furniture by Tatiana Bilbao, at the most recent art week . After three years exhibiting in Miami, Mexico City represents the second city for Alcova outside of its home base of Milan.…
