Years ago i taught at a elementary school in Florida. had a class of 5th graders. i had this one student who has been through a lot of familial issues. nothing physical just an overwhelming amount of drama with her parents. apparently, her mother was listed as "Do Not Contact" in the schools internal systems but i was never informed of this and the physical files i was given was not updated.
