Two code of conduct complaints have been wrapped up but a Gore councillor’s alleged use of homophobic language is still under consideration, the mayor says. In a statement yesterday, the Gore District Council confirmed two code of conduct complaint processes had been resolved. It did not specify what the outcome of either process was. ‘‘One separate matter remains under consideration and will be dealt with through the appropriate process in due course,’’ the statement said. ‘‘Council will make no further comment on that matter while it remains ongoing.’’ Gore District Mayor Ben Bell told the Otago Daily Times yesterday the outcomes of both processes were still private and confidential, but had been discussed among councillors and himself.
