The first trailer for the new USA Network series Anna Pigeon has been released, setting up the world of the titular character played by Tracy Spiridakos . The show’s premiere date has been set for August 7 at 10 p.m. From Morwyn Brebner and based on the bestselling novels by Nevada Barr, the series follows Anna, a former city slicker who becomes a park ranger after a devastating loss that changed the trajectory of her life forever. While Anna tries to outrun her demons, her focus turns to solving crimes that have taken place within national park grounds, no matter who or what gets in her way. The trailer reveals the loss is that of her husband, who was killed; the perpetrator was never caught. It also sets up the big bad, Jeremiah Paulson (Kim Coates) , a local landowner who gives Anna a hard time as he makes plans to build in the park.
