Second community meeting around proposed AI data center in Colorado Springs happening Thursday

As a proposed artificial intelligence data center continues to worry residents who live nearby, the developer is hosting a second neighborhood meeting around the project.   Raeden, a California-based company, announced plans roughly a month ago to build the data center roughly a month ago in an old Intel microchip manufacturing facility off Garden of the Gods Road.   The company is hosting a second meeting at the Marriott at 5580 Tech Center Drive. It will last from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., according to a city webpage. The proposed AI data center has sparked protest from residents, many of whom live within 1,000 feet of the large structure at 1565 High Tech Way. Along Chesham Circle in the Chelsea Glen neighborhood, signs proclaiming “no data center” dot front lawns.…
