Hello, I am not much of a swimmer. I learned swimming from my parents by going on trips to the sea and to be honest and have mostly used it to have fun on beach vacations. To be honest, I don't even know the names of the different swimming strokes or types - I just do what feels right. Recently I started going to a lane swimming pool nearby to do some extra exercise. Usually I am slower than most swimmers but I can comfortably go from one side of the pool to the other in around 50-ish seconds when I try. On my second day there I had been swimming for about half an hour when a lifeguard from the pool told me that I was "clearly not strong enough" to swim in the pool and directed me to the recreational pool "to be safe".
