Pupils of Queenstown’s St Joseph’s School warmed up for this Sunday’s massive book fair with their usual book character day last Friday.

From left are Emelia Shaw (The Queen of Hearts), 12, Harley Dunstan (Gangster Granny), 8, Panda Morgan (The Mad Hatter), 11, and Franko Huljich (The Wild Robot), 7.

Having raised a record $36,000 last year, the school’s PTA’s aiming to raise $40,000 this weekend.

In addition to thousands of very cheap second-hand books, there’ll be food, coffees and entertainment.

Year 7 and 8 students are also running their own stalls.

On the school’s Beetham St grounds, Sunday’s fair runs from 10am till 2pm — entry’s by gold coin donation.
