Providence Equity Partners is among suitors exploring an acquisition of Gamma Communications Plc, the London-listed telecommunication services company, people with knowledge of the matter said.

The private equity firm has been working with advisers as it considers a potential purchase of Gamma, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the information is private.
