I am a foreigner living in South Korea. I first came here to pursue a master’s degree in Civil Engineering, and after graduating, I started working at Korean companies. However, because my Korean language skills are not very strong, I faced many challenges adapting to Korean work environments. At times, it made me doubt myself as an engineer because I often struggled to fully understand what people were saying or what they expected me to do. Over the past six years, I have worked in different companies and even in fields beyond engineering. To be honest, I often felt that the companies I worked for were not fully satisfied with my performance, and this affected my confidence deeply. Recently, I decided to leave Korea and move to Australia. I want to rebuild my career in an English-speaking and more diverse environment where I believe I can communicate more naturally and adapt more easily.…
