15s threshold

Location: Colorado. So technically the people we bought the house from got it in a foreclosure of the original owner. We just got word from our title company that she called them claiming to be me to get access to closing documents. She also messaged my brother on linked in (i assume because our own social media presence is locked down) trying to get a hold of my husband because "he just bought a house that is involved in fraud" The title company told our realtor and she recommended filing a police report which we did. Now they are asking us if we want to press charges... We are inclined not to because we don't want to add fuel to the fire but after talking to the police, she is known to them as a nuisance but this is the first time she has crossed into criminal fraud. I guess we are just looking for opinions or even speculation of what she could do if she got the closing documents? Use our SSNs or try to take out a loan on the house? submitted by /u/Rrmack [link] [comments]
