In 2025, Amazon announced the layoff of 14,000 managers. Microsoft tried not to fall behind and carried out three waves of layoffs — about 2,000 in the spring, 6,840 in May, and nearly 9,000 in the summer. Intel laid off more than 21,000 people. UPS got rid of 48,000 employees in a year. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
