Our HOA board approved a project to stop the soil erosion and project contract is to remove the stone at the bottom of slope and put a straw wattle. Landscaper who maintain common area gave a quote of $127k for 105 ft. Board approved it without getting quotes from other companies and they hardly took 1 day to do 35ft of work. Photo is for reference on what I’m talking about.

Can anyone provide insights on the commercial costs of laying straw wattle on slopes like in picture? This is in San Diego, CA.

Lot of homeowners in community think this project shouldn’t cost more than $25k. Any landscaping experts here to provide insights
