I know posts like this probably get posted all the time, but I still wanted to hear your opinions. I’ve been using Ableton for about 24 days now (currently still on the trial version) and already made a few songs with it. Before that, I was basically 100% on FL Studio. I did everything in FL: recording vocals, playing in MIDI, mixing, mastering, pretty much my entire production workflow. Lately though, FL Studio just doesn’t excite me anymore, which is why I decided to give Ableton a try. The problem is that I’m honestly scared of “starting over” and becoming less productive again. What surprised me the most with Ableton is how fast it gets me to the result I want, even though I had absolutely zero experience with it before. FL can also be fast, but recently I keep running into things that completely kill my workflow. Either FL crashes, or suddenly I get latency issues while recording with my MIDI keyboard. With Ableton it felt completely different.…
