The Roast of Kevin Hart included brutal jokes about a variety of taboo topics — but several didn’t make the cut. Hosted by Shane Gillis , Sunday’s special featured a panel of comedy heavyweights — Pete Davidson, Chelsea Handler, Regina Hall, Draymond Green, Tony Hinchcliffe and Sheryl Underwood — who took turns savaging Hart and each other. The roast also featured surprise appearances from Usher, Teyana Taylor, Lizzo, Dwayne Johnson, Katt Williams, and Venus and Serena Williams, while Hart sat onstage taking it all in stride. Speaking to Variety after the show aired, Madison Sinclair, one of the comedy writers responsible for crafting some of the participants’ ruthless takedowns, revealed some of her top jabs that were not used.
