Hi everyone, I built this greenhouse myself from wood and polycarbonate and now I'd like to automate it, but it's my first time messing with Arduino. The idea is to read temperature, humidity and light, and based on those turn on a heater, a fan and a grow light. Maybe also a small panel with knobs to set the thresholds by hand. On the back I've left a hole sized for a PC fan that I'd like to use for ventilation, and inside there are hooks to hang the grow light. I've already grabbed some stuff: Arduino UNO, 8-channel relay module, DS18B20 probes, a PC fan, the Mars Hydro grow light, a current transducer and a few knobs/buttons. The idea behind the current transducer was to monitor how much power the heaters draw and maybe use that to manage the load (e.g. avoid running everything at once), but I'm not sure yet if it makes sense for a first build. I know I'm still missing a lot of components to complete the build, I'll order them as I go.…
