Josh Edelson | Afp | Getty Images Two days before Elon Musk's multi-billion-dollar lawsuit against OpenAI was slated to head to trial, Musk texted the company's president, Greg Brockman , to gauge his interest in a settlement, according to a filing late on Sunday. "When Mr. Brockman responded with a suggestion that both sides drop their respective claims, Mr. Musk shot back: 'By the end of this week, you and Sam will be the most hated men in America. If you insist, so it will be,'" the filing says. Musk, who co-founded OpenAI in 2015, sued the company, Brockman and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in 2024, alleging they went back on their commitment to keep the artificial intelligence company a nonprofit and to follow its charitable mission.…
