The 15th major Manchester City trophy for Guardiola – 20 if you include them all, and he does – in an FA Cup final that no one will feel compelled to watch again. There was a lightning strike of inspiration from Antoine Semenyo for the match winner, which never looked less than enough. Guardiola started the game without his beguiling new playmaker Rayan Cherki and then, when he was introduced at half-time, finally City’s day came together.
