Contract-to-hire opportunity, worth it or too uncertain? Looking for outside perspective on a job opportunity I've been pursuing. Would love to hear from others who've been in similar situations. I'm currently based on the west coast and planning a relocation to the jobs location this summer. A recruiting firm approached me about this role. The firm is well established and legit, and the end client is a big name and legit. The structure is 6 months contract as a 1099 through the contracting agency and then full time. Met with the Hiring Manager and they are "desperate" for someone and would like to convert. I've already had 3 interviews. They are open to me starting remote and relocating to the jobs location. Only problem, they don't yet have budget approved. And they also mentioned that they would post the job live and interview other candidates while I was contracting. She said this to be fully transparent with me.…
