Nationwide recall issued for 2 popular potato chip brands

A voluntary recall has been issued for several kinds of potato chips after a third-party supplier notified Utz Quality Foods, LLC that a seasoning containing dry milk could contain the presence of Salmonella. The affected seasoning batches, which had dry milk powder sourced from California Dairies, Inc were tested for Salmonella, and the results came back negative, but out of an abundance of caution, Utz has recalled limited varieties of both Zapp’s and Dirty brand potato chips. Utz has not received any complaints of illness due to the ingestion of the affected potato chips at the time of publication.
