On May 30, 2012, Martin Short appeared on The Today Show to promote his upcoming movie, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted . At one point during the interview, host Kathie Lee Gifford started asking Short about his wife, Nancy Dolman. “You and Nancy have got one of the greatest marriages of anybody in show business,” Gifford began. “How many years now for you guys?” she continued. It was the first of several questions Gifford had for Short on the subject that day. Gifford also confirmed that Short and Dolman were still in love. As for why, Short jokingly told her, “I’m cute.” But Gifford wasn’t done; on top of that, she asked Short if he and his wife made each other laugh.
