I’d heard about this on my recent trip to Korea, answered in the best way I could on the post where I’d agreed to get answers to people’s questions for Kukkiwon but couldn’t say anything more. Some of you were clear here what my cryptic comments meant, some of you reached over DM and I phrased it as carefully as I could without breaching the confidence I was told in.

Anyway, now confirmed (the above letter was share on Facebook, it’s translatable by Google or ChatGPT) - the branches are ending!

My personal opinion is that they were intended to help people get help and answers to Kukkiwon questions in a more timely manner, but ended up feeling quite divisive in their respective areas (not all of them, but that’s a common theme I’ve heard) and ended up being a bit more “us and them” or “people in the inner circle and those outside it”.
