In the process of being diagnosed, it will take a long time and I need advice on how to stop thinking about it in the meantime :( Throw away because my family knows my username and I don't want them to see this post (I hope it's allowed) So during one of my therapy sessions I was talking about past experiences that hurts me and that I didn't understand. My therapist told me that it would be interesting to research about autism because it sounded related to her. She recommended I read a book (it's in french, "Le petit guide illustré de l'autisme") to see if I would recognize myself in some examples that were listed. I read it, and it was kinda brutal, I never thought I'd relate but I did, very much. Yesterday she asked me about it and based on my answers she told me it would be a good idea to try to get evaluated to see if I would be diagnosed. I'm full on panicking. The procedures takes between 1 and 2 years in my country. How am I supposed to live as if nothing happened now ??…
