Nocturnal Entertainment , a film and television financier and production company, has officially launched following the sale of its first feature, “ Play Dead ,” to Netflix.  Nocturnal Entertainment was built to support filmmakers, providing them with a technology-enabled creative suite, engaging with them early on in the creative process and staying closely involved throughout. Led by producers Keaton Heinrichs and Akiva Nemetsky, the company focuses on producing and backing studio-quality concepts while embracing the speed, control, flexibility and price point of the independent model.  Fully financed by Nocturnal, “Play Dead,” a World War II thriller, was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.
