I had been off Ozempic for 41 days. Scale was up 11 pounds. My face looked deflated. And I was eating a second bowl of cereal at 9:47 AM because the first one didn’t even register. That was the morning I realized I didn’t lose weight. I rented it. I always blamed everything except the actual problem. Slow metabolism. Stubborn hormones. “Bad genetics.” Stress. My desk job. PCOS maybe. I had a folder of excuses in my head and I rotated through them depending on who was asking. The truth was simpler. I had no plan. I ate whatever was in front of me late night snacks, second helpings, dessert after every meal whatever looked good in my kitchen was going directly into my mouth.
