But for millions of women and girls, the lack of access to menstrual products, clean water, private sanitation, and basic information can turn a natural cycle into a monthly crisis. CARE is working to change that — from displacement camps to classrooms and beyond. On any given day, more than 300 million women and girls are menstruating worldwide.
