For some reason current manufacturers love the making the 10in dobsonian fast, f/5 is MAX. NO IDEA why. Harder to collimate. Coma starts to be annoying. Need higher end eyepieces. And for what? its a 10in it shouldnt be as portable as the 8in. Anyway im after a 10in f6 (or a bit slower), i do realise the one in the photo is still in production (orion uk vx10L at f/6.3) but im wondering if someone knows some others that are still in production, the one in the photo is quite high quality with a 1/6 lambda mirror so its priced accordingly at 1500eur or 1600usd and for my first big telescope i dont need something that fancy, id like something like the GSO 10in just at f/6 not 5. Or maybe there are some that arent in production but are popular and come up on ebay or other sites oftenly. Im in Croatia so things might be more difficult for me as the hobby isnt nearly as developed as in North America for example, so if there are some that were more popular in Europe that i could look for, that would be great.…
