Our Verdict The Kiwi Ears Halcyon is a jack of all trades, and a master of... sub-bass! I love the deep rumbly low frequencies on this set, and it really shines on songs that put an equal spotlight on sub- and mid-bass. Despite the strong lower frequencies, it manages to sound a touch lean and a bit shouty in the midrange, but the treble is generally well judged.
