A worker at one of the now closed Pure Oasis dispensaries yesterday sued over the wages and vacation pay she says she was owed when the downtown and Grove Hall shops closed last week. In her suit , filed in Suffolk Superior Court, Sophie Pels is asking to be made lead plaintiff in a class action on behalf of all other Pure Oasis employees. Her complaint states that on April 8, she and other employees at Boston's first recreational dispensary got e-mail from co-owner Kobie Evans that the two outlets were closed immediately, that Hart knew that that means workers were immediately due their final wages and vacation time, but that he and partner Kevin Hart were unable to access their accounts to pay the money because "our accounts are currently frozen." The complaint states that Pels is owed roughly $1,130.91 in wages and money for 23.1 hours of accrued vacation time. The suit is the latest in a series over recent months against Pure Oasis, which opened in 2020.…
