The 2026 NFL Draft has come and gone, and it’s already time to look ahead to the 2027 draft. Yes, really.  The Detroit Lions are expected to compete for a playoff spot in 2026, and subsequently shouldn’t pick until the latter half of the first round in 2027. As a result, I have the Lions slated to possess the 24th pick in each of the first three rounds. Without further ado, here’s an early three-round projection of how Brad Holmes & Co. could attack next year’s draft. Round 1, pick 24: Jyaire Hill, CB, Michigan The Lions realize Terrion Arnold is not fit to be a starting outside cornerback , and select the Michigan standout corner with this pick here.  Arnold has experienced his fair share of struggles on and off the field up to this point, and I'm predicting he'll continue to do so in 2026.
