Published 6:49 am Tuesday, April 28, 2026 A man was arrested April 26 after allegedly fleeing police and crashing into a car in Madras. According to the Madras Police Department, officers responded about 2 p.m. to reports of a male driver trying to “run down” another vehicle and driving erratically. Additional reports of a potential domestic violence situation involving the driver and his female passenger were also given to law enforcement. A deputy from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office located the suspects’ vehicle as officers responded to the scene near S.E. Seventh Street and S.E. G Street. The deputy initiated a traffic stop with the driver, later identified as Sir Charles Ariesis Williams, 43. Williams allegedly drove off, according to a press release from the Madras Police Department. Deputy pursed Williams, and Williams later crashed into another vehicle near Tenth and Oak Street and fled the crash on foot.…
